MATERIAL SELECTION / TWISTING ＜素材・撚糸＞

日本の風土にあった素材・糸をつくるために、原料や糸の撚り方・組み合わせ方や強度など、世界各国の糸づくりの職人と共に会話を重ねていき、厳選された糸をつくり出していきます。
その糸達が「YANABA」の世界でたったひとつのニットに編み上げられるのです。

In order to create materials and yarns that suit the climate of Japan,
YANABA and its craftsmen from all over the world have repeated conversations
about raw materials, yarn twisting, combining methods, strength, etc.,
and carefully select yarns are produced.
These yarns are then knitted into the world’s only “YANABA” knitwear.

HAND KNIT ＜手編み＞

「YANABA」は、棒針編みを主としたハンドメイドのニットウェアブランドです。
同じ道具を使用しながらも、編み手の力によりその編み上がりはそれぞれが個性的なものに。
そこに共有・均一感を追求し、手仕事による究極の一枚をつくり出します。

YANABA” is a handmade knitwear brand that mainly uses bar needle knitting.
While the same tools are used, each knitted item is unique depending on the knitter’s character.
The brand pursues a sense of sharing and uniformity to create the ultimate handmade piece of knitwear.

HOME KNITTING MACHINE / HAND FLAME MACHINE ＜家庭機・手横編み機＞

家庭機は手編みの「棒針編み」と同じ組織を編むことができ、手編みよりも早く編め、家庭機でしか出せない独特な編み方と風合いが特徴。
「YANABA」を代表する編み技術の一つでもあります。

The home machine can knit the same structure as hand knitting “bar needle knitting,”
and it can knit faster than hand knitting, and features a unique knitting method
and texture that can only be achieved with a home machine.
It is one of the representative knitting techniques of YANABA.

SEAMLESS KNITTING ＜接ぎ目無し＞

丸ヨーク編み、縫い代を用いない手法。主にコード針を使用し、丸く編み上げることで、肩や脇、袖下などに接ぎ目がなく、着心地の良い仕上がりに。
棒針編みの高度な技術の一つです。

Circular yoke knitting, a technique that does not use a seam allowance.
Mainly using cord needles, this technique knits the garment in the round,
with no joints at the shoulders, underarms, and sleeves, resulting in a comfortable fit.
This is one of the advanced techniques of bar needle knitting.

WASHING / FINISHING ＜洗い・仕上げ＞

これらの過程を経て編み上げられたニットウェアは、洗い・乾燥・プレスの順で最終工程へ。
糸・編み地に合わせ、それぞれの表情やデザインの特性を引き出す為、一枚一枚丁寧にハンドプレスで仕上げていきます。

After these processes, the knitwear goes through
the final stages of washing, drying, and pressing.
Each piece is carefully hand-pressed to bring out the expression
and design characteristics of each yarn and knitted fabric.
